The Spinal cord is a bundle of nerves that runs from the base of the brain down the back. Spinal Cord Injury occurs when there is damage to the spinal cord from an injury or a disease process. It's an extremely serious type of physical trauma that's likely to have a lasting and significant impact on most aspects of daily life.
